“We are Pantelis and Eleni from Lemnos. Xeiropłathi (Cheiropłáthi) is our family-run ceramics workshop. At Xeiropłathi, we love change and movement. From a small stone outbuilding in Sardes, Lemnos, in 2010, we moved to the central pedestrian street of Myrina in 2013. Along the way, we participated in numerous exhibitions, mainly in Athens. In 2023, we also opened a new space in the historic center of Thessaloniki. We are self-taught in the art of ceramics, learning through hands-on production, continuous research, experimentation, and creative failures. We love simple, organic lines, have an aversion to symmetry and perfection, and usually prefer lots of cheerful colors.”
