The architectural firm UBUplan architects has been based in Thessaloniki since 2014. The team of architects and landscape architects is led by Thanos Oikonomou, Dafni Papagora, and Ilias Venesis. For the architects, each subject of exploration involves the synthesis of multiple principles of anthropocentric and morphological analysis, whose convergence into a contemporary unified mode of inquiry advances their architectural design process.
The projection of these elements into space defines each architectural product as a condensation of concepts and analyses that coexist and generate personalized spatial proposals. Their engagement with contemporary theories of landscape and architectural design, as well as issues of sustainability, environmental sensitivity, and the social dimension of space, broadens the analytical scope of their proposals and their perspective on the modern role of the architect.
