TOKUTI

Lightboxes & more
Tokuti is a group that was created in 2021, focusing on light and reuse. Using malleable and natural materials like paper and wood, they experiment with paper cutting techniques and three-dimensional representations. They craft handmade lighting boxes, magnets, decorative items, and whatever else comes to mind. They seek utility through creation, with the purpose of the materials that remain and are surplus. The goal was to make something practical, artistic, and environmentally friendly. They concentrated on the lighting box in an alternative way. The workshop follows the philosophy of zero waste and the circular production process, so any material that remains and might have become “waste” is given a second chance at existence through a creative application. Each material is treated as a unit and channeled where it would make the most sense.
