It is a multi-story building from the interwar period, constructed in 1930, and declared a preserved building in 1988 (decision of the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace). The study focuses on the compositional problem of creating a “new” section (an addition) above a preserved building. The overall final image of the new building allows for the “reading” of the addition through the creation of new elements that, however, follow the geometric proportions of the preserved structure. The new uses of the building include office spaces and residences.
