CHURCH OF ACHEIROPOIETOS
The Basilica of Acheiropoietos is a characteristic example of a well-preserved early Christian basilica of Hellenistic type and dates back to the period between 450-475. The temple is a tripartite wooden-roofed basilica with a transept, and its masonry is typical for the early Christian era, with alternating zones of stone construction and brick construction. The monument can be distinguished into four construction phases, along with later localized repair interventions.
